Build context locally in Devin CLI, then hand the session to the cloud

One developer opens each task in Devin's command-line tool on their own machine, lets it explore the repository until it understands the codebase, and then uses the /handoff command to move that same session to Devin's cloud environment, where it keeps working without having to re-learn anything. They sometimes switch models mid-session depending on the work. They call the handoff one of the features they rely on most, though they share no hard metrics and note the desktop app still feels less polished than the CLI. Their setup ran on the $20 Pro plan.
