Let a small data team hand ad hoc data requests to an AI analyst in Slack

Eight Sleep, the sleep tech company, had a small data team buried in quick requests like sales by channel or why a number looked wrong. It added Devin to a Slack channel where anyone can tag it, with access to the dbt repo, Snowflake, Looker and Amplitude. Setup took a couple of hours, and the team added curated notes over time. When a new sales dashboard showed oddly high revenue, Devin traced the queries and found a strong email campaign, not a bug. The team says it now ships three times as many data features and investigations a week, and its queue of small asks is near zero.
