Plan a child's dinners around the school lunch menu in Home Assistant
A parent forwards the kindergarten's weekly menu photo to Discord, where Claude reads it into a Home Assistant sensor. Each day a script asks Claude, through Home Assistant's AI task integration, for three dinners that respect the child's rules (quick, specific proteins, low salt), favourites, the weather, the last 15 dinners and that day's lunch, and returns full recipes as structured fields. Ticking missing ingredients on the kitchen tablet builds a shared shopping list, and a weekly job picks age-appropriate children's theatre shows. The family uses it daily. Fixes needed: flattening recipe output into simple fields and raising the token limit so all three came back.
