Hand medical paperwork, money analysis and a lease renewal to a personal agent

Writer Lane Rettig set up an always-on OpenClaw agent named Baz on a separate computer. Baz has limited access to his email, calendar, files, and chat apps, and it rereads a memory file whenever it starts work. With a new baby due, Baz went through 34 pages of hospital forms in one afternoon. It flagged which forms still needed signing and drafted an insurance pre-approval. That job would have taken Rettig a whole weekend. For a lease renewal, Baz pulled similar rentals and ran cash-flow numbers. Its first take was thin, but it did much better when he pushed back. The hard part was setup. Each new service took 30 to 60 minutes to connect, and there was no safe way to let it spend money.
