Drop trip receipts in a folder and get a categorized expense report
Ruben Hassid, a newsletter writer who says he cannot code, had 47 receipt photos from a work trip and needed an expense report. Doing it by hand meant opening each image, reading the amount, typing it in and adding up totals, which he puts at two hours or more. He put the photos in one folder and asked Claude Cowork for a report grouped by type with date, vendor and amount. Back came an Excel sheet listing each receipt, categorized and summed, and it marked three blurry receipts it could not read, which he filled in himself. The job took ten minutes. He also used it to triage 4,992 files a publisher sent him for a book.
