Point a coding agent at a server over SSH to find why a process keeps dying

Developer Flavio Copes runs a small DigitalOcean server for his self hosted newsletter app. When Claude Code kept getting killed seconds after launch on that box, he ran Codex CLI on his Mac instead and gave it only the SSH command and the symptom. Codex asked before connecting, stated a guess that the kernel was killing the process, then read memory use and kernel logs. It found the out of memory killer at work: the 2 GB machine had no swap, MySQL used about 786 MB and Claude Code about 860 MB. It listed fixes from least to most risky and changed nothing. He resized the droplet, though adding swap, the first suggestion, was cheaper.
