Migrate a long running WordPress blog to Next.js with a planned Claude Code workflow

Chandler Nguyen moved his 17 year old WordPress blog, which ran on PHP and MySQL on a cloud VM, to Next.js in four days with Claude Code and the community Superpowers plugin. The plugin first had Claude question the business goals, then write a plan of more than 400 lines broken into small tasks with file paths and checks, before execution. Sonnet 4.5 coordinated while several Haiku 4.5 agents worked in parallel on extracting posts, studying CSS and drafting components, and each task got a self review for spec match and code quality. The result: 485 posts as MDX files in Git, more than 14,000 uploads cut to about 2,000 optimised images on Vercel Blob, fuller SEO markup, deploys by git push, and his retired chatbot rebuilt on Supabase pgvector.
