Use a swarm of search agents to build a dataset for a one person research question

Lukas Thoms got curious after mocking yet another company's name for its AI bot, and set out to see what everyone calls theirs. A swarm of Claude agents carried out 4,654 searches to gather assistant names for him, then looked for patterns and published the results as Every AI Name. Most bots given a human name have a feminine one, though the split shifts by industry, and fewer companies launched self named bots in 2026 than in 2025. Favourites from the dataset include Mattie Moo from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Sir Lancelbot for Vegas Golden Knights customer service, Will E from Trust and Will for estate planning questions, and Bubba, which helps truckers find jobs and negotiate rates.
