Use ChatGPT as the architect and Codex as the hands

A developer connected ChatGPT to a local Codex install through MCP-style file access and added a thin workflow layer: ChatGPT handles planning and reviewing results, while Codex does the local work of editing files, running commands and checking output, inside safety limits the developer defined. The idea came after ChatGPT spent nearly an hour on a local CAD task, asking clarifying questions and coordinating subagents. The bridge is experimental with no benchmarks yet, and driving native desktop apps through computer-use mostly failed, so they routed browser control through Codex instead.
